Rachel received her BSN from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2009. She obtained her MSN as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at the University Of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2012. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing. Rachel's clinical background includes elder-focused medical surgical nursing, comprehensive geriatric assessment in rural settings, and primary care of elders in both the community and long term care settings.

Rachel began working with the University Of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Nursing (CON) in 2012 as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Lead on a mobile, nurse-managed geriatric assessment service. She transitioned to a long-term geriatrics-focused practice in the Omaha metro in 2014. In addition, she has served as clinical faculty for the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program, providing guidance to students in the primary care setting. She has also served as faculty for the undergraduate, accelerated undergraduate and RN to BSN completion programs.
