Why do I need to renew my certification?
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification is renewed every 5 years to provide evidence of the expansion of professional knowledge and evidence of continued competence in your certification specialty. Evidence of continual learning and competence can be demonstrated by completing professional development categories of continuing education, academic courses, presentations or lectures, publication or research, preceptorship, professional service, practice hours or assessment.
