FAQ's - Topic / Questions - AHCA/NCAL Gerontological Nurse Certification Prep Course

Do I have to have my BSN to take AHCA/NCAL Gero Nurse Prep?

No. The course is open to all registered nurses (RNs). It is suggested that RNs who take AHCA/NCAL Gero Nurse Prep already meet the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) eligibility requirements, with the exception of the 30 hours of continuing education in gerontological nursing, before registering for the course. Successful completion of GNP provides the needed 30 hours of continuing education.
